It might just be me, but opening up a series with a teaser like that and then going the entire rest of the episode without even mentioning it seems like poor pacing. The opening scene is mildly perfect: n provides a cryptic-as-always commentary on the state of the country and Toshima, and. I'm extremely picky about art to begin with, and I can say if I weren't already so invested in this series, nothing this episode has to offer would have intrigued me, except maybe the violence at the end.
